Posted on 18th April 2009 08:01AM 'Emmerdale' character Paddy Kirk has a musical written about him.
The idea for the production came from Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon Dingle in the soap, and used to live with Dominic Brunt, who portrays Paddy.
Mark said: "I've written 'Paddy: The musical' in honour of Dom, and there are some beautiful songs in it, such as 'Hey Paddy You're So Fine'. It was co created by Sheree Murphy (Tricia Dingle). But do you think Dom's written 'Marlon: The Musical' for me? No, he's not bothered.
Dom jokingly added: "Though we do sing tender love songs to each other all the time."
The pair also used to live together, and say they love to bond over horror films, as well as running an annual film festival.
Dom added: "Mark and I have spent hours sitting together watching some dreadful films, so why not do that with hundreds of other people and raise money for charity too?"
