Hayley Tamaddon may miss the 'Dancing on Ice' semi-finals because of a cracked rib.

The former 'Emmerdale' actress suffered the suspected cracked rib several weeks ago during training for the show and is in extreme pain now the injury has flared up during her routine for this Sunday's (21.03.10) semi-finals.

She tweeted: "I'm shattered and have a crazy week ahead and I'm struggling with my rib injury. Must rest."

Hayley is attempting to master a routine which involves many lifts, requiring dance partner, Daniel Whiston, to grip her exactly on the area where she is most damaged.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "All the muscles around her ribs have gone into spasm.

"Dan wrapping his arms around her for the trickier moves has aggravated it."

Hayley recently claimed she was doing her best to cope with her injuries and didn't want to make a big fuss over them.

She said: "I don't want sympathy. I don't want to sit and moan about injuries because it's boring. The public know we are injured, they know how difficult it is."

Although she has been tipped to win the show - recently scoring a perfect 30 points for a Bollywood-inspired routine - Hayley faces tough competition from fellow soap actress Danniella Westbrook, who dazzled judges with her sexy performance as a secretary on Sunday (14.03.10).
