Chris Hargreaves loves playing a 'Hollyoaks' baddie.

The actor - who plays sinister charity boss Daniel - says he is enjoying his current storyline, which sees his character and wife Abi plotting to take their friend Ste Hay's (Kieron Richardson) baby son.

Chris said: "I've been fortunate enough to get a really strong storyline - and baddies are always the best roles to get your teeth into."

Chris loves his current storyline - and is enjoying it more than ever after learning how it will play out on screen.

He added to Britain's Inside Soap magazine: "I've been filming some exciting scenes today. I only found out how the storyline was going to conclude about a month ago and it's dramatic stuff."

Daniel and Abi have been scheming together to take baby Lucas, but Chris revealed their drugging of Ste soon comes between the couple.

He said: "There's a beginning, middle and end to Daniel's plan. For him, taking Lucas is a business transaction and he wants it to go smoothly. But Abi can see the influence these drugs are having on Ste, and it begins to affect her personally."

'Hollyoaks' airs on Channel 4, Monday - Friday.
