Brooke Vincent wants her 'Coronation Street' character to "turn into an awful drug addict".

The 17-year-old actress, who plays Kevin and Sally Webster's youngest daughter Sophie - who has taken a vow of chastity - would love to see her schoolgirl character undergo a radical transformation to become a bad girl.

She said: "I'd like Sophie to turn into an awful drug addict with loads of kids. If I ever had to leave the show, I'd like to go out in a really dramatic way."

Brooke's character is currently dating Ben Richardson and the actress says she is not worried about any love scenes they have together because she has known Lucien Laviscount, who plays Ben, for a long time.

She added: "I've not done an on-screen kiss yet but because I knew Lucien before, it won't be that nerve-wracking.

"I don't fancy him. He might be my character's boyfriend, but he's just Lucien to me. Everyone thinks he's gorgeous though and wants us to get together."
