A British company is advertising a £50,000 job for a witch.

Popular tourist attraction Wookey Hole Caves, in Somerset, have advertised a vacancy for witch who "must be able to cackle" and "must not be allergic to cats" to go about their daily life in the cave.

Daniel Medley, from the caves, said: "We want the appointee to go about her every day business as a hag, so that people passing through the caves can get a sense of what the place was like in the Dark Ages.

"The job is straightforward: live in the cave, be a witch, and do the things witches do."

Auditions are being held to assess applicants costume, character and ability to perform their magical duties.
