A US bride-to-be trashed a wedding store after an argument with staff.

The woman - who visited the shop in Oakland County, Michigan, to purchase a dress - got so angry when she was told her gown couldn't be altered, she returned to the store and caused $20,000 worth of damage.

The bride brought along three men with her who shoved the owner, Hekmat Putruss, into a display case and tackled him to the ground.

Mr. Putruss said: "They just attacked without notice. This is a clothing store, a women's clothing store. We don't expect things like this to happen."

The men were later charged with assault.
